Jim Boudreau is staking out a career as a superb drummer with a bedrock of experience that has taken him across musical and international boundries. He is known as a "musicians musician", a true professional with a commitment to industrial strength groove. A diverse range of artists has employed Jim for his creativity and dynamic talent. Artists such as blues legends Mel Brown and Snooky Pryor, the original soul man Sam Moore, Peter Noone of Hermans Hermits, The Mamas and the Papas, and Canadian country music stars Chris Cummings and George Fox. Years of club dates and international road tours have eventually led Jim to his current association with esteemed blues guitarist Mel Brown. This partnership has culminated with numerous recordings for the highly acclaimed Electrofi blues label. Jim is looking forward to the release of Mel Brown's current recording project, various country studio sessions, and continuing to play an integral role in the ever-expanding Canadian music scene. John Ward Lee Born- 1954 in Montreal Training- Grade 10 Toronto Conservatory piano "I've been playing with Mel since 1990, it's been the best week of my life". History: From 85 to 90 I was on the road with the Matt Minglewood Band.ΚΚ We did 2 LP's: "Me and the Boys" and "The Promise" Including 2 video's that got light rotation on Much Music and CMT. From 80 to 84 I was back and forth across this wide country of ours, too many times with The Dutch Mason Blues Band and did 2 LP's: Special Brew Give Me A Break Dutch has released a live CD that's a bunch of tunes from the El Macombo in Toronto and the Spestrum in Montreal, recorded in 81. It's worth a listen. Major influences- Otis Span, Pinetop Perkins and Billy Payne Idol- Oscar Peterson
